We've just bought a cabanon 2/3 berth frame tent from ebay which will come in two bags - one 10kg and the other 15kg. Are we mad to consider this tent without a car? I thought we would be able to manage as it's in two bags and there's two of us but reading a few of the posts on here the discussion seems to be 'will my frame tent fit in the boot of my car?'!

Also the listing says it is a Cabanon 'Lea' but I can't find any reference to this model on the web or on here at all........does anyone have one? I want to know roughly how long it should take to put up.

I think the problem for you will be carrying all the equipment you need for camping - sleeping bags, cooker, etc. 

Two bags for the tent might be manageable but  you'll need the minimum camping kit to be comfortable.

We'll be getting there by car but there's always alot of walking at the end. A trolley is a good idea.......I think we'll invest in one.

It was such a toss up between having the head room and the weight of them. We've always had dome tents and I really like the idea of the canvas
