Hi all,  just a quick one can you close the vents at the side of the air tent to stop it getting too cold?  are the air tents worth the extra £10?

One of these  3 Second Air

I havent seen one but apparenty you close the vents using cords from the inside. I`m also told that it doesnt completely stop the draughts coming in when closed so I would think great in Summer , but not so good if a bit chilly.

Hopefully someone who actually has one will comment soon. I do have the standard 3 second tent and its excellent!!

i put mine up last night for first time and was impressed with how quick it was pitched.(definitely would watch the video on -l ine as the instructions in the tent werent that clear) it was a bit of a faff getting it back in bag and i found it to be more minutes than seconds but still quick. i personally find it hot/claustrophobic in small tents (especially with three of you in there) and therefore like the thought i can open up the side vents on the air .othrwise there is only a small vent on the back of the tent. on a hot balmy nt i think the side vents would be definitely worth paying a tenner for.you can always get warmer by choice of sleeping bag/adding base layers/extra blankets etc.

i suppose it really depends whether you are a hot or cold person and i'm definitely hot!!!!!!!!!
