HI

I am thinking of getting a weekend tent that is small and easy to  put up. So I wondered if anyone could reccommend one. My requirements are

* Small ( no more than 4 birth)

* SIG

* standing height

* quick to erect.

Thanks for your help

KAS

Have a look at the Easycamp Consenza 500.  It packs away small, is easy to put up if there are 2 of you and has a SIG.

We have an Outwell Hartford M which is very similar and it makes a great weekender.

As for standing height - it depends how tall you are  .   It is  a dome but we find we have plenty of room.

I think you can pick them up for about £180, maybe less. Good luck with whatever you choose.

we are selling our 6 berth which really only sleeps 4 in comfort. It is made by Attwoolls to the same design as the Khyam Yale. Up in less than 30 mins, full SIG, standing height and a bargain at £75.

How about Vango Idaho 400, which you can get for about £100

http://www.outdoorgear4u.co.uk/vangoidaho400-5353.php?products_id=5353&s=518d6dbe20735217493c85a48caf3e58

Vango brochure says it should take 15 mins to pitch.

We jsut got the Starcamper 4 ordered from here.Jolly pleased with it. Not exactly small but lots of standing room for OH who is 6ft tall and easy to put up in comparison to the Hartford xl. you could always get the starcamper 3.

The service was excelletn from UKCS. Would expect nothing less from such a great site!

( canopy, carpet, footprint groundsheet etc) It doesn't look as pretty without all the extras!!!

Hi Kaz

We have a Sunncamp Odyssey xl from 2005, which I think is now marketed under the name of Ventura as the newer version has the SIG, great tent, easily sleeps 4 and we've had all the cooking gear and table and chairs in the front lounge bit when weather bad. Pitches quickly and very light and airy - plenty room for a 6ft bloke both standing up and in the sleeping bits.

Saw the evolution 400 last weekend. Nice tent although thought it was a bit pokey.  If there are more than two of you the 600 is a much better size. (It is now on my wish list though!!)

I think you'd be best off just taking your Monty 4 and leaving all the gubbins at home. Seriously. MT
