Have finally decided to buy a Khyam Ontario 8.

Two on-line companies - World of Tents and Outdoorworld are selling this with a free footprint groundsheet worth about £24. We would like to take advangtage of this offer but I am a bit reluctant to buy on-line because what would you do if there was a problem with the tent - e.g. leaking? Would we have to pay for sending the tent back?

There is a local store selling at the same price but without the free groundsheet - and they won't match the offer.

Should I buy on-line or go local at a £24 more? Has anyone bought from World of Tents or Outdoor world? Are they reputable?

Any advice gratefully received.

As your a bit wary about buying on line as i am, it would help if we knew your location, so you can be directed to a nearby place where they may have them. Bob.

Has anyone bought their tent on-line, had problems and had to return it?

I bought my tent via the Khyam website and it was dispatched from Camping International. I've had no problems with the tent and was quite happy to buy on-line. I have no qualms about buying anything on-line as long as it's from a reputable company. Companies such as World of Camping, Waudby's, Outdoor Megastore and Skyblue Leisure have all contributed to my happy shopping experiences.

Hi Camper333, good choice of tent mate.

I ordered my Ontario Kansas (same tent. different colour) from Outdoor Megastore for £199 with a free Khyam Tent Roller, which is basically a wheeled trolley which you place the packed tent in, and I'm so glad I did. Did not realize the weight of the Kansas 8. I also bought the ground sheet for £14.99 when purchased at the same time, and also the canopy for the main entrance. I got my kettle, cooking utensils, Khyam 4 pole wind break with canopy and cutlery set for £296 delivered. Ordered Tuesday, here Thursday. Well packed and quick delivery, what more can you ask. They also e-mailed me when it was dispatched. 10/10

Have ordered it!!! Khyam Ontario 8 with free groundsheet and Khyam sun canopy from World of Tents. Total cost just less than £250 They assured me that if there is any problem with tent that it would be exchanged at no cost to us.

Excellent choice of tent!! We just got ours from Outdoor Megastore (about 48 hours ahead of Aughard I think!) and we're delighted with it. Total camping novices but still managed to put it up in the garden for the first time in sub 30 minutes without an argument....and we got it back in the bag again afterwards....just!
