hi, it's been a while since I bought a tent and now I need one for two kids (8 and 11) and me. I'm tempted by the sunncamp evolution 400 (don't want a huge tent - just enough space for wet weather over a weekend - like the look of it and the SIG and can't afford much more) - BUT will I be able to put it up on my own? - the 11 year old will help, but he's not very big, and neither's his attention span. And does it have one inner tent with a divider? that's what I'd like. And finally - does anyone know offhand of anywhere in the Midlands I could see one in the flesh? - I've rung every local showroom I can find, with no success. Thanks, people - I'll really appreciate any help on this.

I have seen the 400 and i don't think you will fit 3 in it in any kind of comfort. Try the 600 and don't worry about putting it up. its a very easy, light tent so should be fine after a bit of practice.
People always worry about putting a tent up but everytime we go camping someone always offers to help even though i can put mine up on my own! Don't like refusing the offers really, Maybe I look like i'm struggling or theyre just being friendly.
I always offer to help anyone I see struggling. Don't be too daunted by the size of a tent and you'll soon be an "expert".
Best wishes simon.
P.S. regarding seeing one on display contact sunncamp customer services, they should be able to tell you local stockist who have it on display. Or try one of the tent shows doing the rounds
Cross camping at Melbourn nr Cambridge have one erected, looks a good tent from what little knowelege i have. Did a search on here and found one or two with leakage problem thro'

hi everyone - looked at the evolution 400 (too small) and 600 (too big), by which time I felt like Goldilocks. Eventually bought a Vango Oregon 400 and am going to try putting it up this morning!
You`ll get a Vango Oregon 400 up solo, no problem. I can do the 600 on my own and I`m short, middle aged and female.
I wrote a little piece on my blog as to how I put up my 600. (I have the 2006 version without the SIG, btw.) But you might find one or two useful tips.
