 we are just getting started in the camping world(used to camp when we were younger but things have changed so much ) and were just wondering has anyone got any info on the outwell nevada L as this is the tent we are considering getting  ,

 we have seen it up on display and we think it's the one for us as we have two daughters 5 and 2 years old and two boxer dogs but think its wise to ask the  pro campers  wether we've made the right decision or if  you could recommend any that you might think would suit us better ?  we have also looked at the Hartford xl but don't like the idea of pitching the inner first (thinking ahead..... weather... 2 kids 2 dogs running around while we struggle making the tent look like a kite) or are we worrying over nothing ? working on a budget on or around £250.00 for the tent   any info would be greatly appreaciated   thanks  geo n hel

I've been thinking about a Nevada myself and was all set to buy one today when I noticed a couple of threads (on this site) about leaks in Outwells. There seems to be some suggestion that Outwells have a problem with quality, but at the same time the models mentioned are the Nebraska and the Monty i.e. not the Nevada - the thing I'm worried about is, is the Nevada a new model for this year and therefore, people haven't had a chance to post on its problems yet. There's a 'Search' button at the top - if you click on this and then type in Outwell leak and the appropriate topic you will seem what I mean about the threads. This is a real dilema as I was all set for the Outwell, but am now considering the Vango Oregon 8 or Khyam Ontario 8.

after reading the posts im still going to go for the outwell nevada (changed my mind to the XL though!!) from what I have read outwell have an exellent customer service and I'll give it a test in the garden when it's forcasted for rain.

 I really do think the nevada will be fine , suppose any tent can leak , from reading through the message's ,it just seems most posts about leaks the campers have outwells? seems to be one of the most popular brands so they can't all be leaky?  if you make it back nice and dry let me know ! lol don't know who's reassuring who
