Hi Fayelily welcome to UKCS. From your description it sounds like they are groundsheet pegs which should lie flush when fully pegged in to hold down your groundsheet. Were there any eyelets in the groundsheet ?

Thanks for the reply Nigel, yes there are eyelets in the groundsheet, but I don't think these pegs are for that, firstly they have no point on them and secondly to knock them in flush would push the eyelets right into the ground.
