I haven't looked at the Gelert Alaska, but I will now.
At present I think the Khyam is scoring a bit higher than the Vango. I will be working away virtually all of next week and so the final decision won't be until then.
One of the pro/cons for the Vango, dependant on how you use it was the canopy at one end. I would not use it becasue of needing the sleeping areas at both ends. From what I understand, when the canopy is down, it is not sealed and could be draughty.
Khyam produce a dedicated sun canopy for the Ontarios, although this or others may fit the Oregon. I wouln't expect to use the sun canopy evertime, but for more than a couple of days I probably would.
I am interested to know how the door arrangements compare, specifically at the bottom. I have seen the kansas (Ontario) and realise it zips both sides and rolls up, whereas the Ontario zips along the top and side and rolls sideways. I don't know what it does along the bottom (loose, velcro, zip?). Any problems with draughts?
Thanks
