Hi all,
After losing our Aztec Hawk 7 due to gale force winds 2 weeks ago an opportuntiy to purchase a new one has arrisen.Done lots of reading & veiwed many tents. I was set on a Vermont M (there is only 2 adults & 1 child). Now confusion reigns and I am unsure wether these are good tents or a nightmare?
Please can you post your veiws esp. re rain & wind resistance & layout.Also if you dont like this range of tents please could you recommend something to give simular space.

Got the Vermont Xl Great layout, withstood the elements of the other weekend very well, others not so fortunate though. Does seem a lottery with quality at moment with outwell. I do like the outwell gear.

Hi there!

Just bought Vermont XL - despite all the moans about leaky tents..... but if you read the comments from Gary Cross at CrossCamping this is probably due to the fact that more Outwells are sold than all the others put together!!  Will be trialling ours at the weekend (with luck!) so will let you know.

Could you let me know where you got your Vermont XL from? I'm trying to find one - along with the footprint groundsheet and, if possible, carpet.

Got ours from Crowland Caravan/Camping nr Peterborough - they will have to order direct from Outwell but shd not take more than a week to be in stock.  They can also order footprint and will enquire abt carpet (see other threads for stock issues) but a more friendly, helpful and above all willing to negotiate on package deal place we could not have wished for.  They have a website (crowlandcaravans.co.uk) but no online shop... but please call them and I'm sure they would be willing to help you and get it delivered to you in bonny Scotland........

Good luck in tracking one down - you may also want to try Yeomans Outdoors?
