Aldi tent

I know it's hard to tell from such a brief description, but any opinions or previous experience of Aldi tents?

We have got a small 3 man dome from Aldi.  We have only used it twice as was an emergency buy but my husband camped  over the late May Bank Holiday when we had all that wind and rain and the tent stood up fine.  Looks like that one has an HH of 3000mm so should be pretty waterproof.

We have 2 family Aldi tents and 3 small ones.(The only reason we got the second family one was the cat clawed its way up the 1st when it was in the garden). Never had any problem with any of them even in some really bad weather - gusts and lashing rain and storms. Would recommend some decent tent pegs though. Many folks on here will make comments about them but I can only speak as I find and from experience.
We have a large frame tent we use for a week or more but always take the Aldi ones for short stays.
Aldi have a very good returns policy if you keep the receipt so why not get it and have a look.

we managed a week in one at totnes in changeable weather.it was advertised 6man but adequate for 4.it did leak a bit but not sure if that was because we didnt erect it correctly initially.we had to put it up rather quickly in torrential rain in the dark! (that is my excuse and i'm sticking to it.)

it didnt put us off however and we now have a outwell sv8 which despite differing views on here is fantastic and you can tell the difference from your asda/aldis etc although you pay a bit more.

if you are on a budget and trying out camping give it a whirl. otherwise pay a bit extrsa for a name ie outwell /vango/khyam etc

on the plus side we took ours back to aldi and they gave us a full refund!
