Hi first time post here - just after any comments you might have. We are looking to buy a new tent after our Vango Vista 600 gave up whilst in Wales. Have seen a Lokon vario 6 but like the look of the 5 not so big a footprint.
Have seen this via Quidco at Simply Hike for £179.00 with the quidco 8% cash back makes it £164 (ish) so definately the cheapest I've seen. Anyone seen it any cheaper.
And any other comments about it - can I put it up on my own with help of 8 year old?, are there any tips for putting it up I should know about.
Thanks in advance - and this is a great site - I am hooked.

Thanks for all your comments, having fairly much decided we were going to get this tent especially the deal Elegantmess found, I've been back to my local shop today and had another look at a LKV 6, can't see me getting this thing up on my own with son of 8. BUT.... whilst there saw an Outwell Colorado 5 - very nice and a Royal Bordeaux 4 also very nice..... looked like the poles went into the top material and then got put up, sort of like an old frame tent, would that be right? Now think they might be easier on my own, (hubby just thinks I'm mad to think of going on my own with the kids, but then he doesn't have the 6 weeks summer holidays with them.) Any one got any thoughts. Sorry to be a pain.
does anyone know of anywhere with LOTS of tents I could go an look at within 50 miles or so of Liverpool.

Yeomans do outdoor exhibitions of their tents. I was thinking of going to one myself at Harrogate. There is one on at Poynton, Cheshire. I don't know if this is within 50 miles of Liverpool but I guess you would. It's on from the 13th July to the 7th August I think. I think it would be a good place to compare, I've found that you see one you like, drive somewhere else and see another one and then you forgot the size etc. of the first to compare them.
Good luck, (Six week holidays I mean, not the tent!!! LoL) Only joking, got two myself!
I think I could put up my Sunncamp Vario 6 with my 8 year old in perfect conditions, but I'm using a smaller tent when I'm on my own with the kids for peace of mind and an easier life, and conditions aren't often perfect.
I'm not sure that the other tents you mention would be any easier to be honest. The Colorado looks like a nice tent and the pole threading looks like it would be easier but other than that I think it must be very similar to put up to the varios. The Royal Bordeaux 4 also looks like a lovely tent with more features than the other two BUT it is heavy I believe 43kg (you might want to check that) compared with 27.7kg for the LV5 - that would worry me - it's alot of tent to get up with the help of a child.
There are so many good tents around now I'm sure you will find one you like that you feel confident with.
we've got a vango venture 600DLX which I could put up on my own if I was on my own with the kids (my eldest, whose 9 years old, likes to help with the pegs), it's easy but I couldn't put the LV6 up on my own.
I think the LV5 would be too much for you and 8 year old. Could you go for a simpler tent for you and the kiddies?
I am glad you liked the deal I mentioned but think you have recieved some sound advice about trying to erect it by yourself. The advice probably follows for any tunnel tent with standing room. I am not sure if that is your firm budget or whether you require such a large tent, but as a thought you might like to look at the Khyam Quick Erect range.
It is a video clip from the Khyam website, if it of interest you may find they are over your price range or you may have to compromise on size. I have not had one myself you understand, but they seem to come highly recommended.
