A quick qustion is this the sort of tent that would cause a problem pitching due to its size i.e, will a campsite charge them for 2 pitches? My mum and dad are thinking of getting one and theyve never been before and i would hate for them to have trouble with its size when booking a site.

most sites have large pitches normally about 30X30ft there are bigger tents on the market so souldn't be a problem with a nebraska xl .the site we went to the other week the tent next door was a massive 16 berth tent 4 bedrooms and still room for wind brakes ! plus on site picnic table!!!!!.if in doubt ask. before you book ..
Also, just thought of this, if you use the tent this year and have no probs because you havent been caught out in the rain but you do next year, will they still replace it, in other words how long is the gaurantee?

I would ask that on purchase. Even go to the extent of having it in writing.
I believe that others on this forum did raise similar concerns, when the model came out last year and had it's problems. From waht I can remember (and without searching the numerous posts on here for the Nebraska XL) some had been reassured that a replacement would be given, if the tent leaked on first use in the rain.
If they do purchase it amd if possible, pitch it and give it a good hose test. If it leaks, it should show itself. Mine leaked on every seam and puddles were obvious after about 10-15 mins, in moderate rain.
pitch it and give it a good soaking. mine leaked but nothing like the above post. im off to kiln park friday had to call first but only paying standard fee
