 Have any of you kind people bought a rage vardo 8 recently and had use of this type of tent- have put it up myself fairly easily just wondered if anyone had any problems, seems to be well made and very big for the price, please leave a message many thanks chris

Not got the Vardo, went for the Rage Alta 6DX, 6 man tunnel tent. Very impressed so far, camped last weekend, and am well chuffed with it, but not had any challenging weather yet.

I think we got ourselves a bargain!

A few people have posted good things about the Rage tents, but beware the tent snobs and their opinions!

hi tony just boght the same tent havnt tackled settin it up yet had a quick shufty make sure everything was there can you tell me how the poles fasten in place especially at the bottom do you just tie them in place ?  thanks for any help  alan

Have a look at the threads on Rage tents Alan. Type "Rage" into the search box, and pick "Tent talk, advice info and recommendations" as the topic.

I've written a full guide on putting our tent up, see the "Rage outdoor Alta 4DX tent" thread.

If there are no ring and pin fittings, like this other user had, it'll have to go back and be exchanged. Tentastic are good with problems though - I was missing a guy rope, which was mailed out, with free spares within the week.

I have the Rage Vardo 10 which i paid £60 ebay and its fantastic used it a few times now and so far had no problems, but on the scale of things i've probably had my money's worth anyway. Its really easy to errect took me and my niece who 13 about an hour. It got me through the worst weather i've seen in anglesey over the bank holiday.
