I purchased a Khyam Tourer 200 recently, and a footprint groundsheet to go with it. Soon realised that the sheet has been made 20cm too long for the tent footprint. Although the documentation indicates the footprint to be 539cm in length, the tent is only around 519cm in length. The groundsheet has had to be folded back in on itself in order to fit the internal dimensions of the tent, thus rendering the anchoring points unusable, not ideal as the sheet moves, especially on uneven ground. Have today been to Sporting Supplies in Walsall where I purchased the items, and they agree that something has gone wrong with the Quality Control here, and are going to raise the matter with Eurotech Leisure, the importers.
Has anyone else had a problem with this or related items??

Our Tourer 200 groundsheet is the opposite of yours its too small! its not long enough, yet the footprint groundsheet for our ridgi-pod is just the right size. I think most Khyam groundsheets are a bit hit or miss.

I don't think it is rocket science for the makers to get the groundsheet to the size of the tent intended. I have had around eleven tents over the years, and never had a supposedly 'made for purpose' groundsheet that did not fit its tent. The Khyam incidentally is the most expensive one of the lot AND the groundsheet is not included as standard, only as part of an offer, or separate purchase at £20. There is evidently a quality control issue here. The measurements in their spec are incorrect, and these have obviously been used by the factory in vietnam?? to make the groundsheet.

Footprints should always be of lesser dimensions than the tent, in order to allow water to run off the flysheet and into the ground, rather then collect on the footprint and, as a result, collect under the tent.

A manufacturing fault. Take in back.
