he says it can take 7 - 10 days something about requesting funds from his bank.

Surely a refund would just be debited from the card he has linked to his account, the same as it would if you paid for something via paypal?

I know it can take a few days to transfer money from paypal to your current account, but not to transfer frunds from account to paypal, surely? It is usually an immediate debit.

Does anyone know differently?

Yes it can take ages - I sold a PS2 on ebay , then my kids wanted to keep it. Although I made the refund immediately it still took 5 days to go through.

Yes it can take up to 10 days depends what he has linked to his paypal account. I have my bank acc linked to my paypal acc and it is anything up to 10 days before the money comes out. 

PS wait untill you have refund before sending it back.

How odd, I have a paypal account, paid for something recently and then there was a mix up, so the seller agreed to refund paypal so we could start over again. Whilst I was on the phone to him, and we were going through the procedure, the funds appeared in my paypal account just seconds after he had pressed 'refund'!

I wonder if it depends on if funds have been transferred out of paypal, and into a bank account?

Hey ho, immaterial really so long as pager gets her dosh back!

no still waiting, must admit I am getting really fed up now. Its a week ago since he said he would refund money. If we havent got it by tommorrow evening OH is going to ring him and ask what is going on.

well we've still got the tent which is usable just not as we expected. If I dont get the money back I may sell it on BUT will explain and point out faults to any potential buyer. It has got plenty of life in it if you're not too fussy. We went and looked ( just before buying the Galleria!) at a tent advertised in our local paper as immaculate, used twice. She said it was 5 yrs old, well it must have been 15+. The Cabanon name on the tent had a completly different design, the inners were filthy and it had obviously had alot of use. My OH told her the best place for it was up the local tip!! Did make me think perhaps I was being to fussy about my ebay disaster but no I didnt get what I was sold although I think someone else may be happy with it..

just to update you, still waiting for refund. Contacted seller yesterday who says he cannot get paypal refund through and is sending me a cheque first class to arrive tommorrow. Fingers crossed. tent will stay with me til it clears.
