I've just bought a 3second light and when pitched the front and rear of the ground pole seams to stand up an few inches above the ground. is this normal and would the wind get under it?
I've had a 2second standard for a year now and its been great.

Hi, I have the 3 second, the front and back do tend to stand up a little from the ground when first pitched. I always assumed its because of it being folded up in the bag for so long. But a couple of pegs on the front and back holds its down fine, so the wind wouldn't get under it.
You could always use a couple of crook-top pegs and peg it down (there are 2 x gaps in the fabric, where you can easily peg the frame down). If you are worried about pegging directly over the frame, use a couple of pegging rubbers fastened to the frame.

I think you are talking about the old 3 second, I was talking about the new 3 second light which has 4 pegs that form a square base, there are no gaps in the fabric between the pegs to hold the front down.
i saw one of these for the first time last night & they seem very flimsy compared to the original 3 seconds... i planned to buy the limited edition camo one, but decided against it due to this fact. :(
Just got back from weekend in 3 second light and everything was fine. I used a couple of groundsheet pegs to hold the front and rear edges down and it worked really well. Tent was stable and held off the heavy rain with no leaks.

One of our friends bought the 2 second light in Franch for our trip a couple of weeks ago. We had rain rain more rain and very windy weather and the 2 second light performed beautifully!
He is Canadian and hadn't come across this pop up type tent before and he was really impressed by the way it performed.
We're going to buy the 3 second version when we next go to France to use as an overnight tent whilst travelling.
