I finally managed to put my XXL up in the local park today for the first time. Myself the better half and our ten year old daughter managed it in windy conditions in just over 50 minutes. Bear in mind that the conditions were not perfect, in line with our knowledge of ring & pin, guy ropes et al, I think this was a good effort.
Yes, the XXL is a big tent, yes the pods aren't all full height. When you weigh up these facts against the benefits of space for movement, storage and sleeping, though, I don't think you can knock it.
My wife was sold on the idea that the groundsheet is sewn in so there will be no crawly visitors in the dead of night!
Looking forward to taking it to the Lake District this weekend. Can't wait!
