After reading numerous bad reports relating to certain Outwell tents, I thought I would give my quick review on my new Sun Valley 8.
Just got back from Ulswater. I managed to pitch the tent in the brief period it stopped raining on Saturday afternoon. It took me 25 minutes on my own! A New world record for me....
As the last tent peg went in the heavens opened.
1 1/2 hours of torrential rain and HAILSTONES......and guess what?
Bone dry. Not a drip,leak,puddle.... anything!
The only time I saw anything on the inside is when I had to put it away today (IN THE RAIN!)
Looking forward to 2 weeks in Newquay in August for the full test.........

Glad to hear your news.  We got through 3 SV8's last year with various faults.  We too have just come back testing out our new one only to find one of the seams is leaking - still cannot bear to return another so will try and fix it ourselves.  Needless to say, we have yet still to find a tent as perfectly formed for us otherwise we would have given up on Outwell ages ago.  It seems some people are just blessed to have trouble free lives and then theres me.

We have a SV8 and it is now in its 3rd year with no problem. Last night after torrential rain woke up to find puddles everywhere.  I thought " Oh no.. we now have a leaking tent."  Once I was fully awake I realised I had left the window open all night!!!!!! So its not the tents fault.

and me - we've got through 3 SV8s aswell! Now deciding which tent to go for next.
