Someone put a link on the forum http://www.tent-tents.com/ (I would give them credit if I could find it again), and looking through this continental website I saw several tents by Hypercamp.
Does anyone know this brand or any english links for them? I am not in the market for another tent, but seeing that most are Poly cotton has aroused some interest. In fact the majority of tents on the site I looked at were polycotton.

Oh and out of interest is UK vat payable from the EU, the last time I bought from abroad I was caught by a tax bill from customs (though that was Australlia).
Liddenhams et al have nearly convinced be of the benefits of canvas.
I looked at Hypercamp tents last year and was very close to buying one. I've got some Dutch friends and although they aren't hardcore campers they felt that there was no problem with the brand.
The Dutch are big on camping and their facilities and products tend to be of a good quality. They are also way ahead of us on cotton tents because they do often get very hot weather (and very wet weather!).
I don't know whether I'd order one over t'internet, but if i was very interested I'd take a trip to Holland check out their displays so I could see and feel the quality myself.
Wise words. I have concluded visits being the best course of action myself. Which one were you looking at? what did you buy and why did you decide not hypercamp?

Hi Elegant Mess, I was looking over the winter for a small (4 ish) berth canvas frame and found a number of Hypercamps that I liked. I'm pretty sure I've seen some on a Belgium campsite we use.
In the end we tripped over a Cabanon Elzas locally on ebay in January for a good price and went with that.
We're off to Belgium in a month and I'm going to try to find a Dutch camping shop en route if I can.
I'll confer with my cloggie friends and t'internet and see if I can find a store on the way!
We're going to Epernay in France first (champagne!) then to Spa Francorchamps in the Ardenne Forest. Canvas works well in this environment - it's very wet and very hot usually in the same morning!
