GREAT BUT HELP !

I ordered the outwell georgia xl late sunday evening from outdoor megastore and it arrived today...pretty quick me thinks !! Put it up in garden and blimey its humungus !!

I'm 6 ft and just comfortably reach the zips for the roof lights (O.H cant Haa ha !)

I think we just might have plenty of room for a party (or park the bike in !!) Yeah I know, can't take the bike with this monster tent (boo Hoo)

BUT I NEED HELP !!! I'm not a tent novice....or daft....and I did (for once) read all the destructions...... but there seems to be a six inch gap all round between fly and ground....to me it just don't seem to be big enough.  all poles put together ok and in the right slots, ground gently sloping but not enough for that gap.

Is this normal, am I hopeless  or have I got a dud ???

Hiya,

When we put ours up, it was the same.

It did settle and lowered itself a little...after a bit of adjusting.

I looked on the Outwell pitching video on line(I think that's what I looked at!) and was reassured that they had a gap too.

I had a look at the video. yes there is a gap. but I am not sure it is 6 inches.  Your best course of action might be to take some digital pictures and email them too outwell and your suppliers questioning it.  Does the gap reveal anything above the SIG?

I have the aspen 700, and thats the same, but the gap is about 3" which is about normal.

Ive put it up 3 times now and found a few other problems too !! pitched on quite level ground and well pegged out following destructions and video !!

Still got a 6 inch gap from fly to ground, especially in the corners of the main dome (ends of the main flexi poles) (roof, rear and pod panels do match up though) Fly just seems too small !!

Front windows in living area dont run level (badly) in the flysheet.

The top mesh panel in the inner living area main door has a zip that gets stuck because the stiching is too close (opens only half way)

Front porch seems to sit to one side of the metal pole top hoop (too tight)

Does it matter that I pitched it upside down !!?? or do I need a bigger hammer !!

(joking !!!!!!!!!!)
