We have an oregon 600 and, as with everyone else I'm sure, it came in a great bag all vacuum packed and lovely. We put it up in the garden the other week to check it was OK and then - again like almost everyone else - had a nightmare trying to get it back into it's bag. I managed with brute force and many broken nails but it's not ideal. We are camping for real this weekend (yes weather has not put me off, but I'm secretly hoping the New Forest is flooded) and due to the weather would like to get the tent down and folded as quickly as possible, so anyone any tips on how to get it back in the bag without vast amounts of brute force and swearing?
Thanks
Clare

Not sure why manufacturers make the damn bag so tight fitting!! We have an Outwell in a fancy trolly case effort...great, if you manage to get it back in the bag lol!! We find it an idea to fold the tent, line up the bag as a measuring guide, prior to rolling it and check that it will go in!
However previously, we had a Khyam... doddle..sling it in with ease...loadsa room.
We have a Sunncamp that comes with an oversized bag,all of the above plus we use the ties that came with the tent and they keep the tent secure while zipping up the bag-sorted!!

The trick is not to get too much air trapped in the tent as you fold/roll it, so try and do it so that you are rolling towards a gap the air can get out of (+ leaving inner doors a bit open for the same reason). Easier said than done, and I must admit I usually end up lying ontop of the folded tent to try and squash the air out.
Ever thought of a buying a second bag (they cheap)
and keep poles etc. in one bag and tent in the other.
It not only easier to get it all back in but its
easier to lug around the two separate bags than one heavy
one.

Fold in half (2 bottom edges together), then fold in the curved ends to create an oblong, fold the top to the bottom edges and then again etc. until you have a long oblong which should be the width of the bag. Then start to fold from one end of the oblong, and press the air out, until you reach the other end and then you should be able to get it into the bag easy peasy
I roll up and down each time i fold........i look stupid but it works!! Second piece of advice.....do not go camping this weekend, every forcast shows an apocolypse!!!lol
Roll up the bedroom pods separately to the main fly/groundsheet. This seems to make it a lot easier to get it all back into the bag, probably because you are not trying to work with too much material at one time.
