Hi

We have an oregon 600 and, as with everyone else I'm sure, it came in a great bag all vacuum packed and lovely.  We put it up in the garden the other week to check it was OK and then - again like almost everyone else - had a nightmare trying to get it back into it's bag.  I managed with brute force and many broken nails but it's not ideal.  We are camping for real this weekend (yes weather has not put me off, but I'm secretly hoping the New Forest is flooded) and due to the weather would like to get the tent down and folded as quickly as possible, so anyone any tips on how to get it back in the bag without vast amounts of brute force and swearing?

Hi Clare,

3 bits of advice:-

1. Accurate folding to try and form a similar package to the original.

2. Rolling ! Yes use of body weight to roll the air out, not just on the final fold but when you start overlapping the material.

3. If the tent has a SIG, make sure you leave the main door slightly open to let the air in/out.

Yep...

Not sure why manufacturers make the damn bag so tight fitting!! We have an Outwell in a fancy trolly case effort...great, if you manage to get it back in the bag lol!! We find it an idea to fold the tent, line up the bag as a measuring guide, prior to rolling it and check that it will go in!

However previously, we had a Khyam... doddle..sling it in with ease...loadsa room.
