Hi All,

We are interested in getting one of these.  We are attracted by the ease/speed of erection and the aparent sturdyness, but are put off by the lack of a desgignated cooking area.  What have other owners done about this?  Do you cook in the ten?  In the "awning"?  In a separate tent/outside?  We tend to camp in places with no catering facilities, so have a fairly comprehensive camp kitchen set up with double burner/grill and a fridge and cupboards.

Also, I see the ZIG has built in plastic loops for pegging out.  What do you do if these fail?  or are they indestructible?

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

I've trawled round the Biscaya at length and it really is a beautiful tent. It feels very sturdy and well built.

We always have a fairly substantial kitchen set up for the same reason as you and I wouldn't set it up inside the Biscaya. I'd be worried about damaging the canvas plus everything would have to bd out in the middle of the tent.

I'd either go for the bigger model with the kitchen extension or I'd stick with my seperate kitvhen tent - not ideal for weekends though.

We have similar issues with the Guadaloupe, I wouldn't cook in it so where we have a separate kitchen it's fab, otherwise we use the traditional frame.
