I've found some great advice on this site, but I am still stuck as I am looking for a 6 berth tent for 2 adults and 2 toddlers with 3 bedrooms and a SIG, so that I can introduce the kids to camping this Summer (if the weather ever improves!).
I had narrowed it down to the vango vista 600 and the vango colorado 600 which are more or less the same size but different shapes. I had decided on the vista, due to ease of pitching, but have since realised that vango have discontinued this tent. The 2006 model is still for sale on some sites, but am wondering whether there were any problems with this tent, and should I just go for the colorado and accept that it may take a while to pitch? Or does anyone know of any other 3 bedroom sig tents that may be better for us?
Cheers
Beth

well i have done both sig and no sig however i believe colorado has a bathtub groundsheet which fixes to tent with toggles so best of both worlds. nice and cosy with no creepy crawlies but good ventilation when needed
going away i colorado in july so will let you know how it goes thats if it ever arrives
Correct Colorado does not have SIG but has bathtub which clips around living area and goes under smallest of bedrooms but not under the larger b/room but both bedrooms have SIG so it does'nt really matter. If small b/room not required then you have a really large living space although still big enough if both b/rooms used..regards

any reaon why it doesnt go under big bedroom as this is the one my daughters would be using.
we are getting the 2007 800dlx is it the same for these?
G/sheets normally dont go under bedrooms that have there own SIG. It goes under the smaller bedroom so it can be used as living room g/sheet when bedroom not up. We bought a cheap plastic tarp from B&Q that goes under the whole of our tent (bedroom and living). Keeps it all clean on muddy ground and stops stones etc through tents own sheets
Cant comment in the colorado but the 2006 Vista was one of our shortlisted tents (OH is persuaded to Diablo but no final decision made for this year)

------------- It'll work out in the end!!!!
I didn't do it !! Nobody saw me do it !! You can't prove anything !!
Don't think vango does a footprint for the colorado 600 but as has been said just use a cheap tarp from the likes of b+q.It really makes a difference in protecting and keeping the bathtub and bedroom g/sheets nice and clean.....regards

Have you considered the Vango Aspen 700 it is truly the best tent out there at present we have the 2006 model and find it ticks all the boxes.Go to http://www.vango.co.uk/products/tentsinfo.asp?typename=168 and take a detailed look pitching video and all.
We love our Vango vista 800. Bought a few years ago. Not had an airing for 3 years (too busy with new job) but had a couple of nights this week. Forgot how big she was, didn;t take too long to put up and was as snug as a bug in a rug. Would recommend Vango and the Vista!
I don`t see the point of buying a Colorado and then trying to make it into a full SIG tent lookalike, really. Why not but a full SIG Vango Killington or Diablo instead? Much simpler.
