I'm about to order our first big tent... We decided for Khyam Kansas 8. Seems to be a good tent. Big enough for rainy days and with flexible room arrangement... £199...
But honestly, I don't know much about tents. Do you? Am I going to be disappointed?????

Khyam is a good make, so from that point of view you should be fine. As to whether the tent will suit your requirements, you are probably the best judge of that....
If that is the one that took your eye when you saw it, then go for it. (You have seen one erected, haven't you? If not, I would advise doing so before you buy - that would apply to any tent).
Personally I wouldn't feel happy buying any tent I hadn't seen up, they may look fine on the plans but somehow when you actually walk into them they don't always work as well as you think they should. Maybe that's just me being fussy........

Kipperkid is entirely right. I would say if you intend to sleep on Airbeds you need to find out if they will fit with the ends narrowing like that. Have you spent a night on a mat? Never again.
We've got the kansas and stop worrying. It's a great tent, upgraded from a vango oregon to the kansas and not looked back. Masses of room, really well made and its seen some serious weather without a hint of a leak. Only thing to note is the size may restrict you with some sites as its 7.5 by 3.7 metres. Havent found any which have knocked us back up to now but having read posts on here u never know.
Its a great tent at a great price oh and invest in the carpet, it makes a world of difference.
Hi Plums00, I am thinking about getting a Vango Oregon, what upgrade do you think the Kyham has ? I already have a Kyham Motordome but have been happy with Vango for years.
