Advertised as a large, luxurious tent - which it is - it's even got a built in shower! First trip away in it and we got wet, exchanged it and tried again....oh and guess what? Got wet the second time too! Even managed to get puddles in the bedroom compartments. So, where do we go now? Looking at a Vango Vail 700 - any advice?
However, that said, the Outwell is a great layout, really spacious and light in colour so feels airy and bright - don't really want to get rid of it - any advice on where we can get it waterproofed? We tried the outwell seam sealer but saw no visible improvement!

i had a leak on the back bed room seams. funny though it only did it once and not when it rained the second time(and it rained) i sprayed the seams with fabsil.doesnt leak now.saying this i only had a minor leak.
I was interested to hear you sprayed your Nebraska XL with Fabsil. I tried Fabsil on the seams of an old toilet tent made of nylon and it just ran off. When I sprayed it with water that area reacted no differently than the non Fabsil area.
I also read on one of the "paint on" Fabsil tins that application is not recommended for taped seams as it "unglues" them!!
have you had any problems since the FABSIL application?
------------- Anything becomes a pleasure if one does it too often!
i sprayed the Fabsil on the outside of the seams. It didnt touch the tape as its inside. No problems at all since ,and one night not long ago it started to drizzle but got really heavy at one point in the night and my tent didnt leak in.When it did leak in it was at the far back bed pod hanges, dripping off the strip of fabric the toggles are attached to.My point was i could have complained but i may have got one worse than i already had so i thought i would give it ago.thanks for that i will have a look next time i see brush on tin of Fabsil.I did it to my royal andorra too and i did that inside!!(tall tent ,small me) and it didnt damage that one
We also returned an Outwell Nebraska XL, last year, for it's unwanted water features.
We have stuck with Outwell and gone for the Georgia XL, which is inner up first, but offers pretty much what the Nebraska offered, without the sprinkler system lol.

What response did you get from Outwell, or did you have to go through the retailer? Have you resolved it? I was really giddy about this tent, but now I've read your post I'm not so sure.
We have just returned from a fairly rainy camping trip and the Nebraska was superb, not a dot of water on the inside. It had a real hammering in the last 2 days also.
We've been told by an Outwell supplier that the prob came about as a result of one dodgy cheaper batch of fabric Outwell used in the Nebraska some time late last year (allegedly!!). Hence the leaking reports.
We have found the Nebraska to be fabulous and very pleased we went for the XXL. We would love a baby Nebraska version just for the 2 of us when the kids are at grannies:))
I'm gonna be cheeky and butt in to ask, what are the windows like on the Pescara? How many are there in the main living area? It looks like a great layout and I'm on the hunt for a quality tent with layout like this but also after lots of light for those rainy days where we can lounge indoors and admire the view!
Also, any ideas if you can get a footprint groundsheet, carpet or canopy to fit?
Cheers!

As for windows they are all in the porch area and behind the sleeping areas...there is one in the annexe on the back also.....you would sit in the massive porch area on rainy days........not as bright as the nebraska cuz of the material colour and there are windows at the rear.......carpets and footprints off the nebraska are exactly the same and would fit.
It's on the hotlist definitely now! Gonna see if I can get to see one locally along with my other faves of the moment.
Fella on that other thread (Rex) has suggested a rather tasty cabanon vis-a-vis too. Looks very nice on the pics - perect size/layout. Adds to the confusion/excitement! However it's a tad on the pricey side!!! - and I can't find a full spec to check out windows and pack size - The search goes on....
Will post a thread when I finally commit to buying and in the meanwhile will probably add 20 or so questions to the message boards and maybe interrupt a few more threads too!!
Thanks again very much for your advice and help which is so much appreciated - this site is fab - and very very addictive!!
