We are looking to update our current tent and have looked at the Montana 6 and love the size of it, also the little extras such as being able to have flyscreens up and have windows open etc.
Can anyone suggest something similar in size that we may consider, for a similar price or even cheaper.
Many thanks

Can i ask if you like the look of the monty, which is an excellent tent, why do you want to know of any similar ones? is it the price?

i think you need to go and have a look around a big tent place. hubby went to go-outdoors at loughbrough the other day and said it had so many tents up on display it was excellent. didnt go myself but pleased i didnt as my husband said it was a very large shop and i would have been there all day
the montana 6 is a great tent and money well spent.

Its not the price, just a tad concerned about the mixed reviews on here. Not likely to be able to buy until the autumn and then it will get pitched in garden to check, then away until the spring. Just trying to balance up the pros and cons of the tents available in that price range.
The Royal Bordeaux is a very similar tent although it has 3x2 bedrooms rather than the 2x3 bedrooms that the Monty has. In reality the Monty6 can sleep 4 people asit it can only take 4 airbeds as the pods are not large enough to get 3 in each bedroom. Similarly the Bordeaux cannot get 2 airbeds in each bedroom. all bedrooms are sized to fit airmats which are only generally 65-70cm wide where airbeds are 80cm wide.
Vango do a new tunnel tent this year called the Breckenridge which has 3 large double bedroomswhich would take airbeds but again would not leave any room for kit. Saying that they are bigger than the both the Bordeaux and Monty bedrooms. Surprisingly I think the tent is only slightly bigger than the Monty6 and would more easily accomodate 6 people.
