Buy a new diablo with orange interior for that 70s feel
Sapper, a quick question; how do you find your Montreal? Is it as quick and easy to pitch as a conventional frame tent? As sturdy? How well ventilated?

I recently had a drive over to Don valley sports who have a large selection of cabanon tents, and i must admit that although the quality is un-questionable, they do remind me of when we used to camp with my Mum when we were kids in the 70's. The styling seems to have not changed at all since then, even the horrific floral curtains are the same.
That said........... my 14 year old son (who likes to think he knows cool when he see's it) absolutely loved them, and kept asking if we could trade in the ontario and get one!!

i think i would like one they are quality, but i would not like to put it away after a soaking and then forget about it,mind you at that price i think it would be top priority to get it dried, but some of the designs look very boy scoutish,,,,(i was an air cadet myself) if i had plenty of dosh i would go for the big expensive tunnel type ,or nissen hut

OK, as the starter of the 'floral' comment, I concede. However, adding so much personality is always a dangerous game. If they had been plain, it would be less likely to cause offence.
I can see a practical reason for the striking bold patterns - privacy. Given that frame tents usually have large windows to cover, I would imagine that these are much more effective at breaking up outlines and "shadow puppet shows" than a plain design would be.
