Has anyone got any reviews on this tent? My 19 year old son is thinking of buying one, to accomodate a few friends - not wanting to spend a lot of money, but it looks ok for the price - currently £134 in Go outdoors. Any advice / reviews welcomed.

OK, I know you are all out there, with your expertise and knowledge! Any reviews about Easy camp tents in general, if not for the taranto in particular? Just want to know if they are pretty sturdy, and are ok for the money?

The Easycamp brand is the budget range from Outwell. I have a 2006 Torino 500 which is a high dome with a small porch area. Its an inner first tent and I hate having to tie the outer onto the poles which is quite awkward. It is however dry and as I managed to pick mine up for £30 in the Gooutdoors sale last year I dont think I should really complain.

I bought the taranto 600 2 weeks ago and it withstood the recent downpours very well and stood in an inch of standing water for a week. Overall this is an excellent tent - my only compaints are that the groundsheet is 2/3rds the size of the tent and relies on the built in groundsheet of the largest bedroom to stay dry - this works fine in keeping water out but is something else to clean when you get home!! It would have been better for a full size groundsheet for the largest bedrooms to sit on. I have since purchased a 7 x 3.5m to act as a footprint which I have sat the the taranto groundsheet on which has saved me cleaning the bedroom groundsheet .The zips on the doors have storm flaps to stop rain penetrating which work well but sometimes hinder the zip if your rushing in the dark!! There is no hook for a lantern this would have been a nice touch!! For aprrox. £150 you get a well made tent and it really is EASY to put up - it has to be the instructons are basic. They are my only gripes and remember it is an outwell iwho make an excellent tent!!

I have also purchased the coleman classic tent awning which makes an attractive addition and for £30 just fits and helps keep mucky boots out of the living area.

Great tent overall my missus loved it !!! Hope this helps
