We've just put the new Royal Pescara 8 up in the back garden and it's fantastic. Same design as the Outwell Nebraska XL with an extra little porch on the back. We got it up and just a few pegs in in 15 mins. So guyed out and bed pods in should be 1/2 hour, Then all the gear, beds etc, should be sat down with a brew in the hour.
It's huge inside and really tall and very light and airy in the living area, dasrker in the bed pod ends. The front porch is a good size too. All in all, really pleased with the quality and design and can't wait to go away in it

Hi Foggers, we go to Dorset on 27th. Going to be a hell of a drive but not so worried about pitching when we get there now cos the tent goes up so easily. Much prefer the metal poles to bendy ones.

We had 11 days in Dorset recently - during all the floods in our part of the world (Sheffield/Chesterfield) . It put most folks off camping so we had a 50 pitch site with 4 tents at the most - some days we were all alone- it has rather spoiled us for future camping now - we will want the whole site and all the facilities to ourselves!!
I would highly recommend Monkey World for a day out - the apes and monkeys are in fantastic enclosures - you can see how happy and healthy they are, and the organisation does very important rescue and conservation work.
We're going to Highlands End. Not our 1st choice but Wareham Forest and suchlike were booked up ages ago. according to the reviews it's nice clean site but sounds like we're going to be a bit exposed up on the cliff top-marvellous. What with that and the terrential rain that we're bound to get....
Monkey World is already on the agenda as is the Teddy Bear Museum (for my youngest daughter) and the Fleet Air Museum( for the OH)
I'd just like some decent weather to lie outside me new tent and tootle about!

Oo that looks like a nice site - Bridport is a lovely market town too. If your OH is of military leanings he will be spoiled for choice! - military museum in Dorchester, the Tank museum at Bovington.... And if the weather is poor there is a good Sea Life centre at Weymouth (that may be good for the offpsring as it is a bit short on military connections).
And you can visit Lyme Regis and pretend to be Meryl Streep in the French Lieutenant's Woman - posing moodily at the end of the Cobb. We found a fab bakery which you can eat in, in the little back streets of Lyme - called the Town Mill Bakery - just long wooden benches, and wooden trenchers instead of plates, shelves of books and the day's newspapers to browse, good coffee and very good fresh pizza done to order - plus nice bread to take home! I had to rest a while in there after Dick had made me climb over several 12ft tall sea defences in search of the remote fossil rich beaches towards Charmouth. As usual, the tide was coming IN during this expedition...(I think he is trying to drown me - but I keep pointing out that we aint married and I have no will made out, so there is no benefit to him...)
As you can probably see, Dorset is a fave place for us- I hope you have a fantastic time whatever the weather!

We too have just bought the Royal Pescara 8 and pitched it for the first time in the back garden the weekend before this. We too were amazed at it's size. OH and our eldest son had fun and games pitching, but were surprised at how quick it was once they had sorted things.
We can't wait to go away in it, just hope the weather cheers up.
