Hi,

We are a family of new campers! (mum, dad, chidlren 8 & 4).  We went camping a copule of weeks ago in a "bargain" RAGE tent, that leaked!  The camping turned out ok, because we went with friends and bunked in with them!

Anyway now we have the experience of one camping trip under our belt we want a decent tent!

We have looked around and had nearly convinced ourselves to buy the Outwell Montana 6.....until I have read this website!

Our budget is about £300 and want something that is WATERPROOF, roomy and easy to put up.

Any advice?

Do what I did - have a nosy round the campsite at other peoples tents & see what looksbest for your needs & then have a good gossip with its owner & get their opinion.

Hi jupops73.
Welcome to our forum
The best tents you can buy for stability water proofing and very easy to erect are the Canabon seres,£300 will not buy you a new one but will get you a good second hand one that will last you for many years. you can find them for sale on
free adverts on here also try Preloved and serch for cabanon tents and also if you dont mind bidding ebay can be a good source. They are not as heavy as people make out,If you can make room for a Cabanon it will never let you down.

Buy yourself the Khyam Ontario 6 and save yourself £130. Great tent, no leaks, plenty of room. Even better, buy the Khyam Ontario 8 and have even more room. I can put the Ontario 6 up in about 25 minutes, on my own. With 2 it's even easier.
