We have a SV* - have bought the Universal Side canopy after trying out a friend's first. It fits both the side and the front, although you will need to replace the two guys at the back for 4m ones.
It isn't a perfect fit for the front but it makes the built in porch so much more usable in this changeable weather ( OK then .. rain !) it means the big sloping front door doesn't let in the rain. Best piece of kit we have, after the tent of course.

If you look at my pics, then I used the side canopy on my Norfolk, which is the same footprint as the SV8. I found the one of the straps has to go under the front of the NL porche. It makes the world of difference to the front and gives good shade in the sun and great cover in the rain.
Just to echo what Spideygirl said - great cover in rain. We found that you have to position the rear poles very carefully against the porch of the tent to avoid water run off coming down between the canopy and the tent. Other than that, and the fact you have to lay one of the straps under the tent porch, this is a great way of making the front door of the tent useable in pouring rain. Easy to erect too - easier than trying to erect as a side canopy.
We added a cheap groundsheet for the inevitable muddy feet, and it's so good that even I don't complain about "yet another bag" being added to the list of extras to go in the car.
cheers Z

We have the front canopy for our montana 6, like a few people have said its an excellent addition to the tent, we use ours on every trip as it allows us to cook under in the rain or sit under for a bit of shade. definately a good investment.
