Hi. I'm wondering if anyone can help me source a vango extension for my MK5 (cotton). I've tried emailing Vango and Forceten but disappointingly I have not yet had any replies. I seem to remember (from many years ago!) seeing an extension (or perhaps its called an awning?) in a catalogue. A web search has drawn a blank. Does anyone have any info?

hello and welcome to the site can you give us more info on your tent. has it got to be cotton /match colour ect ?
have a look here you dont have to put it up like in the picture ther are other ways. the only thing is its nylon and mine is a sage green in colour. 6 guys attatched and two poles you can use your own height
I have this image in my memory of Vango producing an extension which is basically simply another fly sheet, effectively doubling the floor area. The extension has zips on the fly flanks which allows one (or both) side (s) to be 'lifted' on poles. Rather than a tarp, its orange cotton and rests on a ridge pole, with A-poles at the far end. I'm certain they (Vango) used to produce one. Still no reply from Vango or Force Ten though. The e-bay suggestion is a good idea, I'll certainly give it a try. I also noted the Outdoor shop offer after 'googling', but it's not quite what I'm aiming for. Thanks again.

I have a Force Ten Mk IV and remember looking for an extension many years ago, Vango did one then and I remember it was in Green Nylon. Vango made a series of Force Ten called the CNX which stood for Cotton / Nylon extension. The extensions were always in Green Nylon. They come with a set of A frame poles complimentary to the Force Ten A poles and just extended the flysheet.
While I love my Force Ten to bits it is just too small as we reached our summer wine years but I always throw it in the car whenever we go camping as a security blanket if the weather turns seriously foul. Houses blow down before Vango Force Tens.
Check out the Vango british Factory in Greenock (or Port Glasgow) in the phone book and call them direct. I think the Force Tens are still made there and still carry lifetime guarantee so you may get a one to one chat with someone there.. Try

I spoke to my brother, he bought an orange nylon extension for his Mk 4. Apparently the shop had it in stock for years, so it may be worth trying some of the smaller independent camping shops.
