Hi - start with Go Outdoors Coventry and Yeomans at Knowle, Solihull (both shops). They have a good selection, but are slightly dominated by Outwell. Yeomans have their own Peakland brand which I think is quite reputable. I think there is also a Go Outdoors in Oxford, but I don't know what their tent selection is like
We did go to a tent show in Wokingham (although we were down that way already) which has lots of tents on display (Vango, Sunncamp, Khyam) - think it ends this weekend though.
the next important thing is a cooker...you need to decide if you're gonna get EHU but a gas cooker is brill. I have both!!
your cooker will last you years so get the right one for you.. with grill/ without grill?...one of the newer models?
There are plenty to choose from!!!
Just got back from a week in my new Wynnster Kestrel 5, great tunnel tent with SIG, cost me <£200. It kept me dry and warm even with the silly weather we had.
