Have been scouring the forum boards trying to find some comments on the above tent; but no one seems to be posting any topics.  Could anyone give us some feedback on this tent before we go and buy one?

Thanks

Looks a nice enough tent but I do say that DH and I like a bit more living space and somewhere to put our clothing bags in the bedroom space.

How many is it for?

Should be enough room for the 3 of you. Is there any reason you have picked this tent?

Manufacturer reputation; pitch fly sheet first; and porch whilst not being too big

My only concern is the small living space. Once you get all your stuff in there and 3 chairs and a table to play cards on cos its raining - again - you might have trouble fitting in. I could be wrong - it has been know but you will be surprised at the junk you will take with you and if it is raining you will need it all inside with you!

There are a lot of good tent manufacturers out there beside vango. Wynnster, coleman, khyam to name a few.

Just been looking around - the wynnster corvus 6 is a great looking tent with plenty of space to live in if you have to move indoors. I have just been checking on the pitching instructions and it is fly first as well.

Gooutdoors have this for £99!!! Google for it and compare the prices - I dont think this is a missprint as they have calculated the saving correct

For 99 quid its a cracking tent

Not sure if you've already purchased?  We have recently bought the Killlington 400 whilst we love the design of the tent and have always had Vango tents we have been disappointed to say the least.  First of all, the size and layout is fantastic we are 2 adults and 2 children and the tent is plenty big enough.  Whilst it states 2 pods sleep 2 they easily sleep 3.  Assuming the tent does what's it is intended to do it would be perfect - it could be improved by adding a fly net to the rear door and adding more velcro to the windows to stop them flapping in the wind!

We had the Killington 600 in May and it was recalled and  leaked.  We then decided the extra bedroom wasn't necessary and enquired about the 400.  Vango categorically stated the 400 didn't have the same fault as the 600 and 900, ie:  leakage on the anchor points we went for the 400.  We soon discovered the 400 also leaked in exactly the same areas of the groundsheet.  We felt very let down as this tent clearly hasn't been fully tested and we've always had Vango and thought very highly of them.  Our previous Vango has been in extreme weather conditions and has survived without problems.  We believe the design of the ground sheet is very poor and really hope Vango sort this for 2008.  Still now very undecided whether to stay loyal to Vango or try maybe Outwell or Khyam?  Fortunately the retailer we purchased from have been excellent and we've been able to return the tent for a refund.

Anyone else had a problem with the Killington 400?

Hello!

My partner and i purchased the killington 400 in july and have only managed to try it on for 2 nights, the weather was super so it hasn't been tested in the rain yet!

As far as living space goes we had plenty and we were even able to use our sunn camp cooker inside the tent with no worry of any problems as the tent has plenty of ventilation.

The first time we pitched this tent it took us 1 hour which was pretty good.

We are going away for a week from the 30th to the 6th on september, so i will be able to give a better review then!

Hopefully we wont have the problem with the leeks if it does rain!

Let me know if you go for the killington 400 and what you think of it!
