We've added a bathtub effect to ours, using ducktaped groundsheet material, and are about to add some stick on velcro to hold it up better. It works very well.
My only learning was to be picky about what ducktape you get, as soe of the cheaper ones (including B&Q own in my experience) are not so sticky...
Cheers
Steve

Hi Brian, Only just noticed this posting, if you haven't solved the problem next time you go to Seaward get me (Jan) to have a look at it for you.
Anyone one with a sewing machine that will stitch denim and a round ended needle can stitch these fabirics and then seam sealant stops leaks. Loops and tie downs can be added at time of stitching and all is best done when tent is up so you can lay things out. We have also got details of a repair shop that has been going for years that will do alterations and repairs.
Haven't been on the site much recently due to getting an old folding camper (Bonair 700 with a wind up roof and pull ou beds) to refurb. I wonder whose idea that might have been?
I've actually managed to fix the mudflaps to the tent using waterproof PVA glue and seam sealer as adhesives and bits of duck tape to hold it together until it set.
Pity I've been too busy with the refurb to manage back down though. Still, we'll get the benefit next year.
With the BA refurb pretty much complete hope to manage back down over the next couple of weeks - you can let me know what you think of my handiwork.
Best regards,
Brian

Presume Mrs Mc is looking forward to sleeping up OFF the ground.
As you know we are happy to help out if we can - we have got a trailer tent in the garage that we used on Arran last winter in 70mph gales and I have had to do some repairs to it and more still ongoing. Have got a dab hand with the sewing machine and canvas now.
The folding camper will be great with an Electric Hook up then Mrs Mc can have all the home comforts............
