I was lucky enough to buy a Biscaya 500 this weekend. The seller and his wife were so helpful and have handed me written instructions on how to pitch the tent properly etc as well as those supplied by Cabanon plus the brochure etc.
Are there many Biscaya 500 owners out there and if so, do you have any handy tips to share with me regarding pitching and usage please? Also, would anyone recommend a stockist for the sun canopy?

hi kit

we have a biscaya 500 too, glad to hear you are thrilled with your new tent

with regarding to pitching,it takes around an hour to put the tent up including the inner bedrooms and pegging the outside. i know the instructions say 20 mins and we might be slower than some but 20 mins is impossible

that said it is very easy to put up, just lay the ground sheet in place with the bedroom section at the back, peg down put poles together and lay on top of groundsheet

then zip the canvas onto the groundsheet which can be very fiddly, after that loosley put front porch poles up and crawl inside ,zip the back pole in first then the middle and finally the front which can take a fair amount of brute force. once up you can peg the porch properly and one of you peg the canvas and the other put the bedrooms up

as for a cannopy we have just bought one from camping int. for £89 but we have yet to try it out

we use our tent for weekends and 2 weeks hol as we love the space it gives, on our last trip we had 4 adults and 5 kids sheltering from the rain and we were not crowded

happy hols with your biscaya i would love to see another one out there
