Hi all,

We tried pitching our second hand Biscaya 370 the other night.  We pegged down the groundsheet, but I was surprised that the instructions didn't suggest pegging the canvas down.  Indeed, while there are some belt buckle type tings at the bottom edge of the canvas, and plenty of heavy duty pegs, there seemed to be no way to join one to the other.

Are the straps to do this an optional extra?  I know that they say it doesn't usualy need guys (my American friend thought that rather sexist until she worked out what they meant), but the groundsheet pegs really don't look sufficient on their own.

The "belt buckle type things" (lots of them all over the canvas) are the pegging straps for the canvas and should have a triangular shaped plastic end where the "heavy duty" pegs (similar shape to the plastic ends) are inserted and knocked in at 45 degree angles to peg it into place.

This is a 2005 model, and it has "buckles" the same as the three at the front of the tent.

I am assuming I need shorter versions of the straps that go at the front.

Do you have these?  or do you have the triangle things instead of the "buckles"?

Hmmmm, not sure of the 2005 model as mines a 2007 but I have the small 'buckle' type fitting that I attached to the front straps and then attach the long straps to these to hold the front in place.

All the other fitting are short straps permanently fixed to the fly with the triangular plastic ends for pegging.
