Hubby & I are looking for a large tent, needs to be at least 210 cm high right the way through ( bedrooms could be smaller!!) To have at least 3 large bedrooms, large living, sig & large porch if possible.

Very new to camping and have just brought a new EasyCamp tent whist very nice is far to small for us. Budget up to £800.00

Any suggestions gratefully recived.

Bye for now

Justine & Michael

Hi justine.
For sale on ebay under cabanon tents are the choice of three Cabanon Espace frame tents These are the ultimate in big tent camping but you will probibly need a camping trailer as they weigh quite a bit They have four separate bedrooms and the Cabanon quality and are easy to erect.
You can be sure you will not get wet but they do not have a
SIG.
And best of all they are within the C&C Club pitch size.If you go for a modern tent with SIG make it a tunnel type because by this time next year big sprawling tents will only be accepted on a small percentage of sites,This last remark is just my opinion.
Regards
Rex.

Hi Justine, we have the vango aspen 700dlx, four of us and it's perfect - pure luxury for 2!, you could get 2 for your budget!!, head height 235cm  (down to 180cm in porch only) , large living space, 3 beds, SIG, large porch - ticks all your boxes, it's also double skinned so combine that with the SIG and it's a very cosy & warm tent.  Very stable due to steel poles.  Obviously being a big tent, the pack size and weight are quite big but that's part & parcel of having a large tent.  needs 2 to erect it.  we have the 2006 model, which has the porch door as a canopy...the 2007 model is pretty much the same but the front door opens sideways so no canopy - good price and would leave you loads of money left over for matching windbreaks, footprint, large canopy etc!!  Although it's big, because of it's shape you don't have problems with pitch sizes unlike some of the large 'pod' style tents that stick out at all angles!....A superb tent, can't fault it.

Hi, we have an Outwell Nebraska xxl, loads of room and all you are asking for.  We love it.  Easy to put up and take down, only have a few problems when it's very windy other than that it's fab.

Hope you find what you want.

Hi Justine, welcome to UKCS.

For your budget you could look at the Ouwell Norfolk Lake - 3 bedrooms (although one of them will just fit a double), zipped in ground sheet, large lounge and porch area, and you'd still have some change for a footprint ground sheet and carpet.

I would not be so sure, more and more sites are asking for tent size at time of booking. Then asking for extra for large tents.

If one of you is tall make sure that the sleeping area is long enough for you to sleep in. My OH is 6ft 2 and really needs a minimum of 210cm to sleep in. Some sleeping inners are quite short unless you sleep across them and then one of you has to climb over the other in the middle of the night!
