We're seriously considering buying this tent but are having difficultly finding a place that has it up so we can look at it (live in the West Midlands). So could those of you with a Colorado 800 DLX please advise as to what the groundsheet is like in the tent. Is it bathtub in the living room and porch then SIG in the bedrooms? Do you have any problems with leaks or bugs? :)
Thanks for you help!

I have one and although I haven't used it yet, can answer some of your questions.
It is bathtub in the living area/porch and indeed SIG in the bedroom pods x 3.
With the turned up bathtub groundsheet, it should be just as watertight as a SIG. The fact that it is not sealed will aid ventilation and keep down condensation. However, you are giving bugs a slight chance to creep through the join. I am happy the sleeping pods have SIG and will keep all our clothes etc in the spare one. I can live with the risk where I am standing/sitting. It's really no worse than being outside.
An advantage in the separate groundsheet is that it is easy to shake off and clean at the end of the trip.
I bought this tent on the strength of the reviews on here and having put it up in the garden (sort of), I can say it's very straightforward. The large living area is great and it seems very airy due to the light colour.
Vicky and Steve have posted excellent pics of theirs. see here
Hope you don't mind me posting the link guys. It sold it to me though!
I have this tent and used it down in the New Forest this weekend. The SIG v Non SIG debate will rage on for ever but here are my thoughts.
Having had 3 very nice days and one day of constant rain I was very greatful for the bathtub ground sheet having taken the tent down. Despite having a tarp under the whole tent the GS still got very dirty. I took it home, laid it out in the back garden and cleaned it with the powerhose. This would of been v difficult with a SIG. (I have no doubt someone will reply to this mail giving a way round this) The bathtub, as suggested above gave that extra bit of ventilation and despite 4 of us in tent there was no problem. In my opinion this is a great tent for the money and I would recommend.
My thoughts on the bugs and SIGs is the same as your Camping Scarlet. I hadn't thought about the easy cleaning of the bathtub groundsheet so that's a definate bonus.
Thanks again!
