hi all , as we are fairly new to all this can someone tell me what the grey elastic loops are for around the bottom of the hartford ( and the canopy ) ? am i supposed to peg them down as well as the grey straps ? , there are also black straps on the bottom of the canopy , anyone know what they are for , any help would be very welcome , thanks ,

yes you peg them down, the straps, you should loosen when pitching and then tighten them when it is up to tension the whole outfit. Not sure what the ones on the canopy are, i dont have one. Are they the same as the ones on the tent.

hi lornev , yes the canopy has the elastic loops like the tent has but also has two black ribbons either side of the canopy , probably something obvious to a person with higher intellegance to myself .

are they long enough to go across the width of the canopy? to connect to the other side, if so they should be laid flat on floor and when snapped into buckle or whatever on other wall, they give you the correct positioning before pegging out. Im sure someone who has it will be along tho.
