Hi Gus

Thought I was the only one with this Tent don't see many around.

Please accept my apologies if I'm miss reading your message but do you mean the ring and pin fixings ?

If so the ring and pin is the assembly permanently sewn to the corners of most tents, you need to insert the pin into the hollow ends of your tent poles.

My Coleman doesn't have a ring and pin system, the poles just stick through the holes in the webbing.  I don't know if this is what you mean?

Thanks Teresa,

I havent had the tent out since a few weeks ago, one this I did manage to do was get the whole thing in the bag!!. However going back to the issue in hand, The diagram on your link looks useful, however are there not  more than one pole that come down to that single pin/ring?? can you remember???

Many Thanks, maybe email would be easier, just guess I will have to get used to this forum thing!!

Angus

Hi Angus,

We only put the tent up once so can't really remember much about it. When you've done it once I'm sure it gets easier - we just prefer the simplicity of a frame tent.  All those bendy poles frighten me !!!! Other people who have the tent seem very pleased with it.  I'll have another look for some more info and come back to you.  In the meantime,  I do remember that you have to put the inner up first because my family thought it was flysheet first and it took about an hour before we discovered where we were going wrong - as you say the instructions are useless.

My husband said he'd be happy to come over to help put it up so perhaps we could work out a way of getting in touch privately,

Teresa
