Having looked around a few shops I seem to have made up my mind on supplier only, I like the Outwell tents and need to buy one in the next couple of weeks for a summer holiday in the south west of England. Favourites so far are the Montana 6 or Vermont L, but also the sun valley 6 appears a good one somewhere inbetween the above on price, but cannot find it set up anywhere local.
We are intending 2 seperate weeks with myself, wife and 12 and 9 year old girls so help setting up will not be a problem, also double cab L200 so weight and size not important.
Not at all keen on the Hartford bedrooms and would prefer the sewn in groundsheets so Indiana not considered.
Good deals on Montana 6 so favourite so far.

Montana definitely a good buy at the moment, but the Vermont provides extra internal space, which is why I prefer it. We use the porch area as our wet/muddy/storage area, and therefore the living area stays nice and clean. You've just got to weigh up whether the porch area is worth about £100 to you (difference in Montana and Vermont price)
As an ex-Sun Valley owner, this is a good tent (similar layout to Vermont), however we got fed up with the poles snapping, the steel ones on the Montana and Vermont are stronger (but the pole bag is bigger and heavier) and the tent feels more stable for it.
Vote for the Vermont L here. Great internal living and storage. Also like that the whole front opens up into a sun canopy. Winfields at Haslingden did have them and Monty's on display, not sure if it's local to you though.

montana has good deals at the mo........not into the sigs though thats why i have the indy......hot,sticky sweaty things and always brushing them out!!!
A happy monty owner here, you wont go wrong with the montana or the vermont. where do you live, we had to do a fair amount of travelling to see tents in the flesh before making a final decision.
All part of the fun. lol

Hi, I've bought a Navada but am not entireley happy with it because the sleeping area in the end is too sloped and the outer tent touches the inner tent. Also with the tunnel style tents it is difficult to open doors without rain getting in and there may not be a porch. This all goes into puddles with a sig arrangement. Does anyone have experience of the Sun Vallery 6? My budget is limited and i dont want a huge tent. Thanks.
Went down to the local tent supplier (Don Valley Sports in Doncaster), had another look around the Montana 6, no Vermont on show, also the other tents and decided that the extra room and larger porch area on the Nebraska XL was what we needed, price £365.00 was very good for 31 squares of living, liked the porch area being bathtub and all the vents and before anybody tells me about the leaking seams I decided to give one a go so I bought it.
Thanks for all the great advice in this Forum and will let you know how I fare in Cornwall/Devon from the 18th August.
Best Regards ukcampsite members, what fantastic people.
Hi .... nice to see some comments from happy Monty 6 owners, we haven't tried ours yet but can't wait....we too thought the SIG was a fab idea, keeps out drafts and crawlies and keeps in little kiddies!
