Hello - hope that some one can help me out.  I have posted this elsewhere already (in the wrong bit apparently) - oops!

Previously used a large Khyam and thought they were great.  I am now looking for a smaller tent for just myself and two children (but can't afford a smaller Kyham). 

Must be EASY to put up, would like standing room (not crawling!), one large bedroom (they will want to sleep with me), reasonable living space, ground sheets a must, window would be a bonus.  Must be fairly compact in bag (small car boot).

Is it possible for under £150?!  I am meant to be going in two days if I do this (a first on my own)!!!  Any advice gratefully received.

Have you looked at the Vango Oregon series? (I've just posted a question about this above yours!) I think that the Oregon 400 fits your requirements: it has one bedroom (can be divided into two), large living space 195cm high, SIG. It seems to be well thought of in my searches on this site, and having seen one in the 'flesh', I thought it looked fantastic. At the moment you can get them for £129ish on various websites, although it seems to be selling out in some places.

That looks like a nice tent.

I have just bought a Khyam Freelander so that I can use this with the kids. If it is as good as it say it is I hope to be able to pitch in 5 minutes. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow - yippee!

Hi Karen - My brother has a Khyam Freelander and it is truly super.  I have used his before and it is a doodle to put up - definately under 5 minutes once you get the knack.  Only trouble is that I can't afford the £170 to buy one (plus £20 for footprint) and he is away in his at the moment or else I'd be using it!  Thanks for the suggestion however - happy camping!

The 2007 model Oregon 400 is on Outdoor2go, for £105. Was in stock yesterday when I called.

The Freelander turned up today. I bought it off Yeomans in their sale, brand new £150 and free p&p.

Aspinals sell seconds from around £92 and new from £140 but charge £15 p+p. 

If you ask around most places will price match but I liked Yeomans customer service best so purchased from them.
