Just picked up a Tesco one for 8.74 even though it might never get used.

You still have to attach the inner after it has "popped"; is it the same for the branded ones too?

Nope, our Outwell Jersey just pops, then 4 pegs and job done!

not so much of a bargain then, might try to attach the inner a little more permanently before I use it.

I'd say still a bargain at the price you paid I went to Tesco hoping to get one to add to my tent collection but they didn't have any...probably wise!
We've got a Gelert SS for our eldest, but the amount of condensation he gets is amazing. I expect the double skinned ones are better on that front?

Don't worry about the inner DaneR.

My Kyhams came with the inner unattached when I first got them. Attached it on first pitch and now it stays attached.

It just saves them a few bob in the factory by having you attach it.

I'll give that a try next time then. It took me a while to get it back in the bag to say the least first time.
