I am thinking of buying the Vango Oregon 600 and would b grateful if anyone had any comments on the pros and cons on it.

I have heard that it holds up well in the heavy wind and is good in poorer weather. Is this correct?

hi iv got a 2007 vango oregon 600 very east to set up takes 2 people around 35mins fully to do everything easy to pack away, for a tunnel tent its good in wind the only problem we had in wind was the guys lines would slack off abit but i think this is normall , good size tent our family is 2 adults plus 3 kids and theres loads off room, we had no leaks in ours but if it rains through the day and your stuck inside condensation will happen just make sure you have got all the vents opens and the windows,

oh also when pitching spend a little time on spreading out the poles properly otherwise the S I G will be slack

if you need help just ask

look on ebay they go for around 120 pound if you catch the bids right

cheers steve

We have an Oregon 600 and used it for the first time during that terrible weekend at the end of June/beginning of July.  The tent stood up fantastically well to the weather.  We had one or two minor seam leaks (around the top of the window on the bad weather side) BUT it was lashed by torrential rain for around 12 hours so we weren't surprised or annoyed.  As puppy and baby said, we had condensation in the tent but then we were tent bound for around 12 hours so again we weren't surprised and opening the vents cured this really quickly. The TBS banding system kept it stable during high winds.

I'd recommend the tent to anyone, the SIG keeps it really warm, the main bedroom pod (without the partition up) is spacious enough to take a queen raised air bed with room at one end for clothes storage if necessary.  Quick and relatively easy to pitch (the ring and pin system takes a little bit of strength to push them in but any adult should be able to do it).

Hope this helps, do shout if you need more info
