Hi guys just back from my wee weekend away in my new tent!
Now a couple of questions for all you professionals out there
1. why did i struggle to get my front door in the tent to shut (just in the middle of the door)? My OH and me moved pegs, guy lines but was still stiff.
2. My front part of the tent was about 3inches from the ground which made it quite hard to get pegs in why?
3. should it leak at the side strengthening bar, just at the pocket that they slide into?
thanks in advanced , i really hope someone can help |

Hi doda,
Just got back from 2 weeks in the Alps in my Kestrel 5 and did a very rainy week in Cornwall in July too.
The fly is high at the front but there are toggles on the groundsheet that bring it up inside the fly so the rain runs off and not inside.
I too found that the front door was a bit tight but it soon settled down after a day or two of rain! (hosepipe??)I had no problem with it closing during our last holiday.
I did have a bit of a leak at the zip on the side door but it was blowing a gale at the time, all in all I still love the tent and the space it provides.

Try again!
Just got back from 2 weeks in the French Alps and did a week in very rainy Cornwall in July.
The fly is high at the front but there are toggles on the groundsheet that bring it up inside the fly so the rain runs outside.
I did have a slightly tight front door to begin with but it settled after a couple of days of rain and I didn't have any problem in France.
I did have one small leak from the zip on the side door but it was blowing a gale and, all things considered, I love the space the tent gives.
