Just got back fron the French Alps and even though the car was already stuffed I couldn't resist a bargain.

Quechua 2 second XL tents for 50 Euros in the Decathlon in Gap! Got 2 of them, one for me and one for the sprog (he's too big and smelly to share a 2-man with his Mum now) Absolutely brilliant, we took down our big tent on the last afternoon and pitched these instead so we could make a quick get away the following morning. They are very spacious and big enough for 2 and a small bag or 1 and a load of luggage.

Checked out e-bay and they are going for £50-60 with p+p to add too. I am so pleased with myself it makes the 'slightly cramped' 1000 mile drive home worth it.

Debbie

We have the Outwell Jersey version and did just that with ours!  Makes it much more leisurely packing up the big tent and just using the small one over night.  We also used it during overnight stops to and from the Alps.  Decathlon is really good.

Just picked up our first Quechua today, a 3 Second Air and popped it up in garden and am very pleasantly surprised how roomy it is.

Another surprise was that I managed to fold it and get it back in its bag in less than a minute!! Well pleased..
