Firstly MT - you appear to have lost half your name

We, like many others have a selection of tents! We also have a selection of add on extras (kitchen tent, dayroom, shower/toilet tent). We currently have three Cabanons and had promised ourselves that we would sell one this year...the trouble is each time we use one I realise that it is the perfect tent for that occasion and that we couldn't possibly part with it

I think a medium sized tent with an add on kitchen tent looks perfect for families, the domes aren't suited to cooking in and for those with little kids the advantage of having hot and sharp things separate must be huge.

It often seems to me that pitching the tent isn't always the problem for those that give up as its all too much like hard work. Most tents don't take a vast amount of time to pitch, what is time consuming is unpacking and repacking the vast amounts of kit, gadgets etc.

My wife and I went camping for the first time a couple of weeks ago for the weeken and learnt a lot.

We got the Idaho 400 which suited us fine. We looked at the manufacturers websites first to see what we thought would be the easiest for us to put up. We liked the Idaho as it has the SIG. It also had a big enough living area to stand in and we have enough room in the sleeping area for our bed clothes etc.

We hope to get away for another couple of weekends this year before goign for a wek next year. I dare say ill be touring round the various camping shows though looking for that next purchase!

Tony
