We have decided to change from our much loved montana 6 to the vango vail 700 and was wandering if anyone knows what the difference between the 2006 vail and the 2007 is and also if anyone knows of any good deals for this tent.

Hi Dawn, the 2007 model has a sewn in ground sheet. I believe that's the main difference. Go Outdoors are doing it for £305 & WildDay for £300. You get a lot of tent for your money - it was my second choice (the 500 rather than the 700) but we decided on the Vermont in the end.

Interested to see how you compare the 2 - we got our choices down to the Monty 6 and the Vail, went for Monty but still think Vail was a lovely tent!

Hi Jx

After using our new vail 700 for 5 nights i think we have decided that we do like this better than the monty 6. That little bit extra in size really does make a difference and the big windows are fab. Mind you it will probaly take me a few more trips to get to really really like it better than the monty as i did love that tent and i would'nt have changed if it had not been for the three faulty ones.
